As an artist and engineer, the flying wing is one of mankind’s greatest engineering accomplishments. The artwork depicts Northrop’s YB-35 Flying Wing with authentic signature of test pilot, Brigadier General Robert Cardenas, who was the Chief U.S. Air Force Test Pilot for Northrop Flying Wing, which preceded the B-2 Stealth Bomber by more than four (4) decades.

Cardenas was an instrumental member of the X-1 supersonic project.
